Colombia Parachute Packs

Making parachute packs for our "VOICE OF THE MARTYRS" project.

The packs will hold solar-powered radios preset to Christian radio stations, Christian books and Spanish Bibles.

Everyone has been busy measuring ribbon and cutting out the parachute materials.

Please pray for this exciting project - that many will respond to the Gospel!

Chief Joseph

Spiritual Freedom

"Chief Joseph" was a story we read in our reading group. It was a story about physical freedom. What about spiritual freedom? Jesus is an example of a person fighting for spiritual freedom. He went through stages of pain so that we can have spiritual freedom! If it wasn't for Jesus, we would have eternal death.

RED, WHITE & BLUE

Tomorrow is our VERY SPECIAL DAY! Please wear RED, WHITE, and BLUE in honor of the World War 2 Pearl Harbor Veteran who will be speaking to us. Tara's Great-Uncle Jay will be speaking at 10:15 - 11:15 where we have chapel.

Please don't forget about our SPECIAL BIRTHDAY LUNCH, too. I have almost the majority of the class' food orders and money, but if you forgot to bring it to school today, PLEASE DON'T FORGET tomorrow!

Once in a Lifetime Experience

On Friday, March 18 at 10:15-11:15, we will have the great privilege and opportunity to hear Tara Stauffer's Great-Uncle Jay speak about his time serving in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii during World War 2.

We will be meeting downstairs where the elementary has chapel.

Visitors are welcome!

Solar System Study

Planet PowerPoint Project

With your partner, create a PowerPoint describing characteristics of your assigned planet. Similar to your WW2 Partner Project, you will need to teach the class about your assigned planet. Google images, Answers in Genesis, "Our Universe" textbook, and "Discovery Works" textbook are good sources to use. DO NOT use Wikipedia. Keep track of your sources.

• Create a 3-5 minute PowerPoint
• Use at least 5 pictures of your planet in your PowerPoint
• Cite 3-4 sources (sources must include at least ONE BOOK and ONE INTERNET source)
• Create a "Fill-in-the-Blanks" worksheet for your classmates to fill in as you present your PowerPoint. The worksheet is due: Tuesday, March 29 so Mrs. Mellette can make photocopies of your worksheet for the class.
