The Memorials at Washington, D.C.

We made it! We're in D.C. - our Nation's Capitol!
Heroes

At the Lincoln Memorial

Can you see President Lincoln?

The Vietnam Wall of Honor....

...It was staggering seeing all the names. By the end of it, I felt teary-eyed.

My mom and I tried to find my brother-in-law's uncle's name, but there were just too many names!

We then went to the Korean War memorial - a new one - honoring the veterans who fought, survived and who made the ultimate sacrifice.

My husband's grandpa fought in the Korean War. It has been so interesting hearing his stories and then what a privilege it was to see this memorial...I can't wait to show him these pictures.

The stones say it all...

....What sacrifice!
