Studing Spelling = FUN?

Mrs. Horst, the 2nd grade teacher, introduced me to a FUN way to study spelling! We tried it out today, and when we saw pop by the computer lab, we all gave her a boisterous applause! The website is: http://spellingcity.com. Students will need their spelling word lists to use the site. Check it out!

Let Us Love

Hmmm...What is Daniel up to?
Luke, what is going on?

Camila - hard at work!

Expressing the love!

What are we up to in 5th grade???

Whatever we're doing, it looks like we're all enjoying it!!!

Let us...
....Love One Another!

"Do to others as you would have them do to you."
Luke 6:31

Let us love one another.

On Tuesday, we had a spirited debate on whether or not 5th graders should read books written by people who practice astrology.

In light of that passionate exchange, today we looked at what Jesus said about LOVE.

It's easy to love someone who loves you back, but we are called to love those who are difficult to love!

We need to love people who we sometimes even disagree with.

To show my love for my precious students, I decided to make "love bracelets/necklaces" with them that were constructed out of...

Twizzlers Pull Aparts, Gummy Lifesavers and Fruit Loops!
